Time and Tide Wait for No One: OMEGA's New Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer Collection

Strap in watch aficionados, we've got exciting news! OMEGA is once again setting our hearts racing with their globally renowned Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer. This beauty is not just a watch, it's a tribute to our planet and a companion for global explorers and serious collectors alike.

The big news is, OMEGA is widening their Worldtimer horizon. The watchmaker is adding three new models to the mix, including a unique titanium edition crafted with laser ablation, plus two standout stainless steel options. Each of these models boasts a distinct and eye-catching Worldtimer display - an ode to the world travelers amongst us.

OMEGA's master craftsmen have used laser ablation to etch out a view of Earth, as seen from above the North Pole, right at the heart of the dial. This miniature Earth, complete with continents and colours, is sculpted on a grade 5 titanium surface. The whole scene is subtly domed, a delightful nod to the curvature of our planet. Surrounding this earthly depiction is a 24-hour time indicator, tucked under hesalite glass and neatly divided into day and night sections.

Every dial carries names of global destinations circling the outer ring. One of these destinations is OMEGA’s home city - BIENNE, Switzerland. All city names, except for London, are coloured in gold for the stainless-steel versions, while London stands out in red, highlighting its link to Greenwich Mean Time, now known as Universal Time Coordinated (UTC).

OMEGA's President and CEO, Mr. Raynald Aeschlimann, sees these new watches as symbols of innovation and inspiration. In his words, "These watches are like a call to action. They're beautiful, fun to wear and true collectables.” We can’t help but echo his excitement!

Let's take a closer look at the Titanium Worldtimer. This 43mm titan of a watch is a bold statement piece. The matte dial, constructed entirely with laser, including its colors, gives off a rugged yet classy vibe. It's complemented by a brushed black ceramic bezel, and blackened hands and indexes filled with white Super-LumiNova, which casts a cool blue glow when the lights are off. This piece is finished with a structured black rubber strap accented with grey stitching and a brushed grade 2 titanium decorative link and clasp.

For those of you who prefer a classic look, OMEGA offers two stainless steel options. You can go for a seamless stainless-steel bracelet or an integrated green rubber strap, each with their distinct clasps.

Underneath the style, we find the strength – each 43 mm stainless steel model is powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8938, a powerhouse of precision certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS). Plus, these beauties are built to go deep, boasting a water resistance of up to 150 meters.

In summary, if you're looking for a timepiece that embodies artistry, technology, and an adventurous spirit, OMEGA's expanded Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer collection is just the ticket!
